This is the orchard your almonds come from. One family farm in South Australia's Riverland — pesticide-free, un-pasteurised, and from tree to carton in five days. We buy direct from the farmer, and it shows in every bite.
Since 1997, Jim Belehris and his family have grown almonds on the red soil of Cooltong, just outside Renmark in South Australia's Riverland — some of the finest almond country on earth. They grow and market only their own almonds, oversee every step themselves, and get each harvest from tree to carton in five days, so the kernels arrive full of flavour and super crunchy, with nothing cooked out and nothing sprayed on.
No pesticides. No pasteurisation. No fumigation. Just sun, soil biology, solar power and a family that works with mother nature, not against her. In the industry they're known simply as the almonds in the brown box — and that brown box is the only almond box that comes through our door.
Nearly all commercial almonds are pasteurised, fumigated or sprayed somewhere along the line. Belehris almonds are none of those things — which is exactly why we use them.
Naturally derived fertilisers and living soil biology instead of chemical sprays. What lands on your tongue is almond, and only almond.
No steam treatment, no heat kill-step. The kernel stays raw and alive, keeping its full flavour, crunch and nutrients intact.
Never gassed in storage. Most imported and bulk almonds can't say that — these can, every single carton.
Belehris harvest, transport and process with their own machinery, so almonds are packed within five days of leaving the tree. Freshness you can hear when you bite.
Cooltong's hot days, cool nights and red sandy soils are world-class almond country — the same region that made Australian almonds famous.
One hundred percent Australian family owned since 1997, run on solar with real water and soil stewardship. They still supply their very first customer.
Every natural, roasted and flavoured almond we sell starts life at Belehris Estates. We roast and flavour them by hand in Coburg North, Melbourne — small batches, all by hand, since 1975.

Belehris kernels go into all our whole natural, roasted and flavoured almonds. Our slivered, flaked, blanched, meal and chocolate-coated almonds are made to a different spec, so they're the only lines that sit outside the brown box.
